Mike Brewer – Member

Mike Brewer is an Arizona Native and came to the community of Heber Overgaard as a professional firefighter in July 2001 as a FF/EMT for the Heber-Overgaard Fire District.  He has been a resident since 2001 and a property owner since 2005. He went to work full time for the Mesa Fire Dept. in March 2005 and remained with HOFD as a Reserve FF Paramedic until May 2010.

He was then selected by the HOFD Fire Board to serve as the Interim Deputy Fire Chief until a new Fire Chief could be found. He was later appointed as the official Deputy Fire Chief while still working full time for the Mesa Fire Dept. until the Deputy Chief position was dissolved in May 2012. He is a seasoned fire service veteran and has deep ties to the community of Heber-Overgaard and was present during the Rodeo Chediski Firefight to help save our community.

Elected to the HOFD Fire Board in November 2014 he has continued the tradition of serving this community as a fiscal conservative ensuring that we get the most bang for the buck by helping to manage our tax dollars wisely. He also has the knowledge and experience to ensure the Heber Overgaard Fire District is managed effectively to provide the most efficient Fire and Emergency Medical Services available to our residents and visitors every day.
